About Buxton Knives
Wayne Buxton became a dealer for Randall Made Knives in the early 1970’s. We have always sold Randall Knives at current catalog prices just like the Randall Factory from day one and will continue that tradition. You will see on occasion a Limited Edition, Engraved, Vintage, Ivory Handled knife or Non Production Miniature, we reserve the right to charge a premium for those knives.
We also accept custom orders. Custom orders are usually delivered in approximately 12 months this changes frequently with what the factory can produce. On custom orders, we require a written order and a $100.00, Non-refundable deposit. The deposit obviously goes toward the final price of the knife. Custom orders are non-refundable and you can pick up to 5 different options per knife when you place the order.
We charge $35.00 for shipping and insurance for your entire order. If you happen to live in Texas we must collect 8.25% sales tax for those orders. We accept Zelle, PayPal, Money Orders or Cashiers Checks for our online orders only. We have stopped accepting International orders as of May 1, 2021 because they have become too time consuming and burdensome for us. I am sorry for this decision but 100% of our problems with delivery come from International Shipping and Delivery.
If you have any questions, feel free to call or email and we can discuss your individual needs. Wayne’s son, David is now handling the business and will be happy to answer any questions about Randall Knives.
We have had a lot of recent customers frustrated that we do not have knives in stock very often. Almost all of our orders are special orders from customers like yourself. Since we are one of the few dealers that still charge factory catalog price and can deliver your knife in months instead of years our business has experienced a lot of growth. So if you would like something special or just a basic model send me an email and I will add it to our next order. The factory has been forced to cut back 30% on all of their dealers’ allocations for the foreseeable future. At this time I am not accepting any orders for knives with a retail price of $425.00 or less including model 9’s & 10’s. This is a business and when we get less inventory from the manufacturer, we still need to make a profit to continue to operate.
Finally, we do not send you emails that do not pertain to your order including when I expect to receive your order. We stopped getting updates on the progress of our / your orders in the early 80’s because we don’t need to know the day-to-day schedule of the artisans producing the knives or when they are sick or on vacation. When we do get your knife in stock we make every effort to ship it out to you as soon as possible so we get paid and you get your knife.
We operate our business like it used to be before the internet, so if you give us your address, phone number or email address we will never sell it or give it to a 3rd party period.
We look forward to working with you. Thank you!
